Veteran IIS officer S M Khan dies at 67 after brief illness

Senior Indian Information Service officer and former Press Secretary to late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, S M Khan has passed away. He was 67. He breathed his last at a private hospital in New Delhi after a brief illness.

A 1982 batch IIS officer, S M Khan had also served as



Director General of DD (News).

He also had a long and distinguished career in Press Information Bureau, RNI and other media wings of Information and Broadcasting Ministry as well as in the Central Bureau of Investigation.
