Mumbai: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar appealed legislators and Parliamentarians to focus on deliberations over disruption. He also urged them to believe on Dialogue, Debate, Decorum and Deliberations and also requested them to stay away from disruptions and disturbance.
The Rajya Sabha Chairman was addressing valedictory session of 84th conference of all India presiding officers in Mumbai on Sunday. Mr. Dhankhar has also asked presiding officers to emphasize on discipline and decorum and resolve towards zero accommodation of disturbance and disruption. He expected that Presiding officers should remind the representatives that they are not individuals alone but the flag bearer of hopes and aspirations of the people.
Vice president also appealed
citizen to sensitise their representatives to stay away from disturbance and disruption.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed hope that Work on 'One Nation One Legislative Platform' will be completed by this year. He also emphasized on maintaining discipline and decorum in legislature. He urged all the presiding officers and members to increase the productivity and people-centric decisions. Many more innovative solutions taken by various legislature were discussed during this 2-day conference.
Betterment of Panchayat Raj institutions was also discussed during this conference. Mr. Birla expressed confidence that this conference will strengthen the democratic institutions in the country.
