New Delhi: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has said that chartered accountants have an important role to play as a custodian of the financial ecosystem of the country, especially in view of the increasing technological fraud. He said, India is emerging as a global hub in global outsourcing the financial and accounting process, and praised the role of ICAI in this endeavor.
The Vice President was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Global Professional Accounts Conclave in Gandhinagar. Mr Dhankhar urged the Chartered Accountants fraternity to nurture the spirit of economic nationalism among trade business and industry of the country.
The Vice President lauded the contribution of CAs in
the successful implementation of GST in the country by making it a Good and Simple tax. The vice president called upon the CAs to maintain ethical integrity in their profession and work together to eradicate the menace of tax evasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of Corporate Affairs Piyush Goyal said, there are ample growth opportunities for expansion in the accounting sector globally and urged the local firms to expand their global presence.
More than 4,000 delegates from over 25 countries are taking part in the three-day event to discuss various aspects to shape the future of the accountancy profession at the global level.
