Vice President Venkaiah Naidu to lay foundation stone of Greenfield Smart City at Ranchi

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will lay the foundation stone of Greenfield Smart City at Ranchi in Jharkhand today. The proposed smart city will be spread over 656 acres in HEC area. 

The Vice President will lay the foundation stones for its three buildings- Urban Civic Center, Convention Center and Jharkhand Urban Planning Management Institute today. The smart city will have modern transport



system, world class education hub, 24 hours water and electricity, wi-fi, public toilets at every 200 meters and will be carbon free zone.

The Greenfield Smart City will cost ten thousands crore rupees and will also have 16 thousand residential flats for 70 thousands residents. Chief Minister and other important dignitaries will also be present at the occasion.
