Vice presidential election scheduled for August 6: EC

Vice presidential elections are scheduled for August 6, the Election Commission of India announced on Wednesday, June 29.

The poll, if necessary, will happen on August 6 from 10 am to 5 pm and the votes will be counted on the same day.

The Election Commission will issue a notification calling



the election on July 5. The last date for filing of nomination is July 19.

The scrutiny of nomination will take place on July 20 and the last date for withdrawal of application is July 22.

Meanwhile, presidential polls are scheduled to be held on July 18 and the result will be declared on July 21.
