Vijayawada boat tragedy: Roja demands AP Govt to announce ex-gratia of Rs 20 lakh to families of victims

YSRCP MLA Roja criticized Chief Minsiter N Chandrababu Naidu, holding him responsible behind the Vijayawada boat tragedy, where 22 tourists died after the boat capsized in Krishna River.

Participating in the Children's Day Celebrations at the SC Girls High School in her constituency, she addressed the media and alleged that Chandrababu offered prayers by wearing shoes which is the reason behind the tragedy and urged him not wear shoes while



performing poojas.

The YSRCP MLA said that previously Chandrababu performed poojas at the Godavari and 29 people were killed in the stampede but no cases have been registered against him so far.

 

Demanding the termination of Tourism Minister Akhila Priya from the Cabinet for her irresponsibility, Roja demanded the state government to announce an ex-gratia of Rs 20 lakh to the families of the victims.
