Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has said that a Viksit Bharat can be attained only when every citizen in India has been empowered. Delivering his speech at the third Conference of the Deafblind Advocacy and Employment near Chennai, he appreciated those who are working in the field of empowering the differently abled. He said that they have been contributing significantly to the growth of the country by being compassionate towards them.

The Vice President mentioned



that they have enormous untapped potential, which needs to be harnessed for the development of the nation. He also stated that those who are training the differently abled should be appreciated and deserving of the greatest respect. He emphasised that the prime minister has a vision to involve them in governance and to frame policies that allow them to realise their potential so that they can be actively involved in nation-building.
