In the Kashmir Valley, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) continues unabated across the region with massive public participation who are gathering information about various welfare schemes of the government. In almost all the districts, the Sankalp Yatra activities are being organised in an effort to reach-out the poor, destitute and the needy persons. 

In Bandipora district of north Kashmir, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being organised with much fervour and successful campaigning amid huge public participation. The IEC Vans covered seventy percent of total Panchayats in the district and cent percent Urban Local Body wards. During the mega events so far, around 63,000 people and beneficiaries of Bandipora district have been reached-out by the sectoral officers of various departments so far.

The IEC Vans in the district traversed through 115 Panchayats so far, comprising 70 percent of the total panchayats in the district. All the 43 Urban Local Bodies (ULB) have already been covered under VBSY, comprising 100 percent of all the ULB wards of the district.

Continuing information dissemination and awareness campaign regarding various centrally sponsored schemes, the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) vans continued campaigning in different panchayats and ULB



wards of the district. During the Yatra, the people were seen enthusiastically listening to the recorded message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the nationwide campaign.

Meanwhile, similar events are also being organised in other parts of the Kashmir Valley on regular basis.The IEC Vans  equipped with multimedia resources, expert speakers and interactive sessions, engage and educate people about the benefits and application procedures of these schemes.

Experts from different departments and institutions, including Agriculture, Horticulture, J&K Bank etc. held interactive sessions with the locals wherein they are informed about the procedures to avail the welfare schemes of the government.

The schemes being publicized include Ayushman Bharat, PMJAY, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission, PM Awas Yojana (Rural), PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Vishwakarma, PM Kisan Saman, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), PM Poshan Abhiyan, Har Ghar Jal-Jal Jeevan Mission, Survey of villages and mapping with improvised technology in village areas (SVAMITVA), Jan Dhan Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, PM PRANAM, Nano Fertilizer among others.
