In West Bengal, moderate to brisk voting has been reported in the third phase of polling currently underway today for 62 Assembly seats in Kolkata Uttar and the districts of Murshidabad, Nadia and Burdwan. State Additional CEO, Dibyendu Sarkar told AIR that about 40 percent overall turn-out was recorded till 11 AM with the highest 43 percent votes polled in Murshidabad.
The Election Commission received over 800 complaints and addressed most of them till the reports last came in. One person was killed at Domkal in Murshidabad and a



number of others were injured in stray incidents of violence reported from various places including Ketugram in Burdwan. Additional forces were rushed to the spot. The Election Commission-deputed Police observer also reached the site and an FIR has been filed. 
Reports of clashes and intimidation of voters have been received from Ketugram in Burdwan district, Kashipur, Beleghata and Belgharia in Kolkata and Rayna, Saguna, Hariharpara, Ausgram and Gayeshpur. Two persons were arrested for intimidating voters at Khandaghosh.
