Vijayawada: Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has removed 224 hoarding frames on grounds of not obtaining structural stability certificates from the concerned authorities. VMC commissioner Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar chaired a meeting to discuss issues related to hoardings in the city. He reiterated the importance of maintaining structural stability for all hoardings, so that there are no untoward

incidents.

The commissioner asked officials to issue notices to hoarding companies to confirm whether their display boards are structurally stable. He emphasised that hoardings must be removed if they do not have the required structural stability certificate. Chief city planner G.V.G.S.V. Prasad and deputy city planner Jubin Cheeran Roy were among those present at the meeting.
