Voter Information slip would be issued in place of photo voter slip in Tamil Nadu: Chief Electoral Officer

In Tamilnadu, the Chief electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo has said that Voter information slip would be issued in place of photo voter slip. This will include information like polling station, date and time of the poll among the others. All the district election officers have been directed to distribute the voter information slip at least five days before the date of poll to all enrolled



electors. 

The District electoral officers are part of conducting voter awareness campaigns through flag marches, mock polls, signature campaigns,awareness cultural programs and mobile vans. Due to COVID-19 reasons, voters will be allowed to vote only after wearing a mask and COVID-19 patients will be allowed to exercise their franchise only after a PPE suit during the last hour of voting.
