Voting begins for 8th phase of Panchayat polls in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir polling for 8th Phase of Panchayat elections will be held today. 

The voting at 2633 polling stations across the State will begin at 8 a.m. and will end at 2 in the afternoon. 2083 polling stations are in Jammu Division



and 550 in Kashmir Valley. 

In this phase, 43 Sarpanchs and 681 Panchs have been elected unopposed and polling will take place for 331 Sarpanch and 2007 Panch seats with 6304 candidates in the fray.
