Voting begins for third phase of Panchayat Elections in Jharkhand

In Jharkhand, voting has begun for the third phase of three-tier Panchayat Elections in 70 blocks of 19 districts. More than 46 lakh 94 thousand voters will exercise their franchise in the third phase of polling for 1047 Gram Panchayats.
In the third phase, 27 thousand
343 candidates are in the fray for 6,370 posts of Gram Panchayat members, 1047 posts of Mukhiya, and 1165 posts of Panchayat Samiti member,s and 126 posts of District Council members. Counting for the third phase of polls will be taken up on May 31.
