UP: The fate of 692 candidates for 61 seats across 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh will be decided today when the state goes to polls for the fifth phase of assembly elections today. Polling will start at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. Sultanpur, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Barabanki, Bahraich, Shravasti and Gonda districts of UP will go to polls in the fifth phase. Amethi and Raebareli, once considered Congress bastions, and Ayodhya, the epicentre of the Ram temple movement, will also vote
today.
Ahead of the fifth phase of polling, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said, "BJP will win in the Sirathu Assembly constituency with a huge margin. We've done many developments works for all sections of society. The public will vote for development and will reject casteism and appeasement politics."
KP Maurya is the BJP's candidate from Sirathu, which is going to the polls on Sunday in the fifth phase of voting in the UP Assembly election.
