Voting begins in first phase of polls amid tight security in Manipur

Manipur: Voting for the first phase of Manipur Assembly polls began at 7 am today. A total of 173 candidates are in the fray across 38 seats in the first phase of Manipur



elections. 

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded a voter turnout of around 55 per cent during the fifth phase of assembly elections on Sunday. Counting of votes for the assembly elections will be on March 10.
