In Uttar Pradesh, voting for 11 legislative council seats of Graduate and Teacher constituency under biennial election concluded. The polling that started at 8 AM will continued till 5 PM. No untoward incident has been reported. The counting of votes will be done on 3rd December.Total 55.47 Percent voters used their franchise in today's election in Uttar Pradesh.
According to election commission report the highest 73.94 Percent turnout of voters was reported from Gorakhpur-Faizabad division teachers Seat and least 36.74 Percent at Lucknow division graduate Seat.
Out of 11 seats 5 are Graduate constituencies and 6 Teachers constituencies. Graduate constituencies are Lucknow, Agra, Meerut ,Varanasi, and Allahabad-Jhansi constituency while teachers constituency are Lucknow, Agra, Meerut ,Varanasi, Bareilly- Moradabad and Gorakhpur-Faizabad
divisions.
Covid 19 protocols have been strictly followed during polling. Hand sanitizers and thermal scanners have been made available at all polling booths. No polling personnel or voter is allowed without face cover or mask. Social distancing was also maintained during voting.

All major parties including BJP, Samajwadi Party and Congress except BSP have fielded their candidates in the election. There are total 199 candidates in the fray. Most 30 candidates are pitted on Meerut division graduate seat and least 11 candidates on Lucknow division teachers seat.
