Voting for Jasdan assembly seat in Gujarat underway

The voting for Jasdan Assembly seat in Rajkot district by-poll is underway today.

The seat fall vacant after resignation of Mr Kunvarji Bavaliya as the Congress legislator.

Later, Mr Bavaliya, who has been five-time MLA and one term MP, joined the BJP and

inducted as the Cabinet Minister.

He is now contesting the poll as the BJP candidate. The Congress has fielded a district panchayat member Avsar Nakiya as its candidate.

The counting will be carried out Sunday.
