Patna: Polling is underway for biennial elections to Bihar legislative council for 24 local authorities constituencies. Voting, which began at 8 am, will end at 4 pm. Over one lakh 35 thousand electorates will decide the fate of 185 candidates.

534 booths have been set to ensure free and fair polls. The electorate comprises the



elected representatives of urban local bodies and Panchayati raj institutions as well as MPs and MLAs.  

BJP and Janta Dal (United) are contesting elections jointly while RJD and Congress are fighting elections separately. The counting of votes will be held on April 7
