Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has said that India as a nation, stands for peace, stability, and global growth. Addressing the Students and Faculty Members of New York University in New Delhi, Mr Dhankhar hailed India as the cultural centre of the world. He highlighted the country’s two trillion dollar economy has doubled with 8 per cent growth. Mr Dhankhar underscored that 14 kilometres of world-class highways and 6 kilometres of railway tracks are being added daily.
The Vice President also noted that every year four new airports have been added and one metro system, with
a 1000-kilometre metro network across 23 cities. He said that India has been the first responder in crises like earthquakes or COVID and the country safeguarded 1.3 billion people while assisting over 100 countries. He also emphasized that in war-torn areas, India has ensured safe evacuations for citizens and foreign students.
Mr Dhankhar expressed pride in the country being the oldest and most vibrant democracy. He asserted that no other country in the world has a constitutionally structured democracy at all levels.
