Central Bureau of Investigation Special Judge, Gwalior yesterday has convicted four accused in two separate cases related to Madhya Pradesh Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (Vyapam).
The Special Judge had convicted candidate Dushyant Singh Bhadoria and impersonator Jagpal Singh in a case related to Pre-Medical Test 2010 conducted by Vyapam. The CBI confirmed that Dushyant Singh Bhadoria's Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) answer sheet, the cover page of the question booklet and the Record of Answer Sheet and Attendance (RASA) sheet of PMT 2010 contained the handwriting of Jagpal Singh.
During their investigation, the CBI also found that the photograph used in Bhadoria's application form and allotment letter contained the facial features of both the accused. Both were sentenced
to undergo four years of Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of 13 thousand 100 rupees each.
In another case related to the Police Constable Recruitment Test 2013 also conducted by Vyapam, accused candidate Laxman Singh and impersonator Dharmendra Kumar were convicted. During reconciliation and matching of the photo, the invigilator found that the photograph and signature in the application form of Laxman Singh were not matching with the candidate.
With the help of thumb impressions, the CBI later established that impersonator Dharmendra Kumar appeared in the examination in place of candidate Laxman Singh. The Trial Court had sentenced them to undergo four years of Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of 14 thousand 100 rupees each.
