Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said the water level of dams in the state is below the danger mark. He assessed the situation arising out of incessant rains, during a detailed meeting with officers, district administration and Bhakra Beas Management Board in Nangal town of Roopnagar district on Sunday. 

He said the water level of Bhakra Dam was below the danger mark, therefore,



there was no immediate need to release any water from it. He directed officers to share information regarding the water level regularly with the people to avoid any confusion.
 
The Chief Minister said the state has suffered losses of nearly 1,000 crore rupees due to floods. He added that the exact amount is yet to be calculated.
