Water supply has been fully restored in Cyclone affected Puri and Bhubaneswar in Odisha. The housing and urban development department of state government said in a press communique that apart from installation of heavy duty diesel generator sets at intake well and water treatment plants in Puri, water supply has become fully functional from yesterday.
In Bhubaneswar city also the normal water supply of about 200 million litres was made yesterday. Similarly in Bhubaneswar 114 heavy duty diesel generator
sets has been installed for providing alternative power supply to important places. Andhra Pradesh Government has provided 2000 workers to assist restoration of power supply in the affected areas of Odisha.
As per the information received from State Energy Department, power supply in Cuttack will be fully restored in next 24 hours. In another development the government has initiated distribution of relief in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Cuttack.
