In West Bengal, re-polling is being held today in 568 panchayat election booths spread across 20 districts of the state.Voting began at 7 am and will end at 5 PM. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed concern about the incidents in West Bengal during the Panchayat polls.

Modi said, it is unfortunate that a land as great as West Bengal has to see such sights. He also said, it is a matter of serious concern that people were not allowed to file nominations. 

The Prime Minister said, not just BJP, people from all leading parties, except the one that rules the state, suffered.
