WB Police arrest 9 people in connection with vandalism at a Medical College & Hospital in Kolkata

Nine persons have been arrested among the 26 persons identified in connection with last night’s vandalism at R G Kar Medical College and Hospital, police said. Meanwhile, a CBI team has reached R G Kar Medical College and Hospital to investigate the rape and brutal killing of a lady doctor. Another CBI team went to interact with the victim’s parents at their residence at Sodepur in North 24



Parganas.

CBI sources said, eight doctors have been interrogated today in connection with the rape and murder case. Three doctors, involved in the post-mortem were also questioned. Moreover, CBI is questioning the former Superintendent of R G Kar Medical College and Hospital, Dr Sanjay Vashisth and the Head of the Chest Department, Dr Arunava Dutta at its office at CGO Complex.
