Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has alleged that West Bengal has been left out from Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan as the state government did not furnish information regarding migrant labourers of the State.

Addressing a virtual rally from Delhi, Ms Sitharaman alleged that the West Bengal Government has failed in proper utilization of funds given by the Centre to tackle COVID pandemic. 

Criticising the TMC government over the mishandling of COVID-19 crisis in the State, Ms.



Sitharaman said that the central team that visited the State for assessment of the situation had to face several roadblocks. 

The Finance Minister said that the TMC government has been opposing all pro-people policies of the Centre. She said that poor people of West Bengal are being deprived of the benefits of various welfare schemes of the Centre like Ayushman Bharat, Krishak Sammam Nidhi and others due to Trinamool Congress led Government in the State.
