West Bengal Govt to build memorial of Bhasha Shahid Barkat in Murshidabad

West Bengal Government will build up a memorial of Bhasha Shahid Barkat at his residence at Babla village in Salar, Murshidabad. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made this announcement at the function organized by the state government on the occasion of International Mother Language Day in Kolkata yesterday. The main function of the day by the state government was held at



Deshapriya Park in South Kolkata. A cultural function was organized on the occasion.

Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata organised a special function to observe the day. It was followed by a cultural programme. Other organizations organized functions as well. The day was observed in various districts.
