Western Railway plans to run 12 special trains from Ahmedabad and Vadodara for the people of Konkan region to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi festival in their home town. These special trains will run from today till 31st of August. According to an official press release, the Chief Minister Vijay Rupani gave his consent to the proposal of Western Railway in the interest of the Konkani people staying in Gujarat. These trains will run from Ahmedabad to Kudal and Sawantwadi, Vadodara to Ratnagiri and back.
The Railways will strictly observe
the protocols and guidelines in the prevailing situation of Coronavirus pandemic. As per the approval, Ahmedabad-Kudal trains will start today and 25th of August, Ahmedabad-Sawantwadi trains will start on 21st and 28th of August and Vadodara-Ratnagiri trains on August 23rd and 30th of August. On their return trip, Kudal-Ahmedabad trains will start 19th and 26th August, Sawantwadi-Ahmedabad trains will start on 22nd and 29th August and Ratnagiri-Vadodara trains will start on 24th and 31st of August.
