Home minister Rajnath Singh has assured that the Centre will continue to extend all cooperation and support to Chhattisgarh government in its fight against insurgency.
He made the assurance while chairing a high-level meeting in Raipur yesterday to review law and order situation as well as development works being carried out for the betterment of the people in the naxal-affected region of the
state. Reiterating Centre's support to the state in its efforts to wipe out naxal menace, Rajnath Singh said road connectivity in Naxal-hit area will be expanded and 850 km roads will be built in Chhattisgarh.
He also sanctioned setting up of 50 new police stations and 35 mobile towers in the maoist-hit areas of the state. Chief Minister Raman Singh was also present in the meeting.
