Patna: The winter session of Bihar
Legislative Assembly is beginning from today. The session will end on December
8th. This is the first session of the newly elected Nitish Kumar government.
Protem Speaker Sadanand Singh will administer the oath to
newly elected MLAs today and tomorrow.
Two third MLAs are new members. The
Speaker will be elected on December 02.The Governor Ramnath Kovind will address
the joint session of the two houses of the state legislature the following day.
Meanwhile, senior BJP MLA and ex-minister Prem Kumar was unanimously elected as
leader of the BJP legislature party in the newly-constituted Bihar legislative
Assembly. Mr. Kumar will be designated as the new leader of opposition in the
assembly.
