The Winter Session of Karnataka Legislature will begin from Monday. The ten-day session is being held in Suvarna Soudha at Belagavi. Speaking to newsmen in Belagavi today, Speaker, U T Khadar said, over three thousand questions, 205 calling attention notices and three private member bills have been received so far. 

The speaker also said, a photo exhibition is arranged at the venue of Suvarna Soudha commemorating 100 years of Belagavi Congress Conference which was presided over by Mahatma



Gandhi. The Chairman of Legislative Council Basavaraj Horatti has informed that the house will exclusively discuss for four days about the issues related to northern part of Karnataka.
     
The session might be a stormy one as opposition BJP and JDS members are geared up to raise issues like WAKF land, Bellari maternal deaths, MUDA, while ruling Congress party members are likely to bank on Justice Kunha report on alleged corruption in Covid treatment.
