In Kerala, a woman was killed when her house was swept away in a landslide that took place near Thodupuzha in Idukki district early this morning following heavy rains. Police said four others belonging to her family are missing. The authorities have intensified search for the missing persons. Roads and farmlands have also been swept away in the area.

Meanwhile,



the Met Department has issued yellow alert in all districts of the state except Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Thrissur, indicating the possibility of heavy rainfall. It said squally weather with wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is likely to prevail over Kerala coast. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
