'World knows who has Congress' remote control': PM Modi's dig at Gandhis over Mallikarjun Kharge

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday took a jibe at the Congress President saying that the world knows who has the party's remote control, indirectly hinting that Gandhis are the real decision makers. The Prime Minister said that he was disheartened to see how the most senior leader has been disrespected.

"Mallikarjun Kharge has served the public in whatever way possible... I was disheartened to see how the most senior leader, the president of Congress has been disrespected by them... The world knows who has the remote control," PM Modi said in Belagavi.

The Prime Minister further slammed the party saying, "Congress thinks until Modi is alive their motives won't survive and that is why they all are saying 'mar ja Modi, mar ja Modi...' and some are saying 'Modi teri kabad khudegi' but the country is saying 'Modi tera Kamal



khilega'".

Addressing an event in Belagavi, PM Modi also released the 13th instalment of over Rs 16,000 crore, under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), through direct benefit transfer to more than eight crore farmer beneficiaries.

"All farmers of India have been connected with Belagavi today, crores of farmers have been credited with over Rs 16,000 crore. This instalment is a greeting of Holi," he said.

"Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, we transferred over Rs 2.5 lakh crore to the bank account of farmers in the country. Especially, more than Rs 50,000 crore has been credited to the women farmers," the Prime Minister said.

Hitting back at PM Modi, Mallikarjun Kharge asked the Prime Minister that when was he going to form the JPC on the Adani-Hindenburg issue.
