Yamuna river cleaning drive begins weeks after BJP's Delhi poll victory

The effort to clean the Yamuna River has started in Delhi, fulfilling a significant BJP election promise. The Delhi Lieutenant Governor, VK Saxena, has introduced tools such as trash skimmers, weed harvesters, and dredge utility



craft. 

The BJP plans to complete the river's cleanup in three years. This initiative was a focal point in the recent Delhi elections, which the BJP won. 

Various agencies are collaborating to prevent garbage from entering the river.
