The water level in the Yamuna river in Delhi today continued to flow above the danger mark, forcing over 600 people to be evacuated from low-lying areas.
Delhi Cheif Secretary, Anshu Prakash on Tuesday held an emergency meeting with the concerned departments and issued directions to take appropriate measures for evacuation and
providing relief to affected people.
The water level of Yamuna reached 205.72 Metres against the danger mark of 204.83 Metres.
Traffic police is also monitoring the situation and the old Yamuna bridge may be closed once again if the water level continues to rise.
