The water level in the Yamuna river in Delhi continues to rise and stays over the danger mark for the third day today.
According to Delhi Flood Control Department, the river was flowing above 205 metres from the danger mark of 204.83 metres when reports last came in. The rise is due to the water released by Haryana from Hathani Kund
Barrage.
The Delhi government has set up a flood control room and round-the-clock emergency operation centre to monitor the situation.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has appealed to the people in low-lying areas to move to safer areas.
