While hearing a plea to quash Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case filed against him, the High Court of Karnataka on Friday granted anticipatory bail to 81-year-old former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa. 

A woman alleged that her 17-year-old daughter sexual assault by former Chief



Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Central Parliamentary Board member B.S. Yediyurappa when she and her daughter met the BJP leader at his Bengaluru residence seeking some help. The alleged sexual assault on a minor is said to have taken place in February last year before a case was filed against Yediyurappa in last March.
