Patna, Bihar: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath finally broke his silence on Thursday on the 2018 Assembly poll results. Yogi, who was in the forefront in many campaigns of BJP in the state election polls said that the Congress gained in the electoral polls through 'deceit'.
"In Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, people tried to spread lies but despite that, we put up a good fight under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership," he told media persons in Patna. He was confident that his party would come out as a winner in 2018 Assembly polls but BJP was dethroned in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh by the Congress.
The Rahul Gandhi-led Congress party is ready to form its
government in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. It won significant seats in Madhya Pradesh and emerged as the single largest party.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister was a prominent face during the rallies for the BJP. In one of his rallies he suggested that if the BJP wins a mandate in Telangana, it will rename Hyderabad to Bhagyanagar. He has been receiving a lot of flak for his 'name changing' politics. However, the Bhartiya Janata party performed poorly in Telangana where it only got 1 seat in the state Assembly polls.
Yogi Adityanath is positive that his party will move ahead from this defeat and will make a comeback in the Lok Sabha polls to prove its credibility in Indian politics.
