Youth dies 2 days after Covid vaccination shot, family blames vaccine

A 30-year-old youth in Surat died two days after taking a Covid-19 vaccination shot. The cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report is received, the family of the deceased alleged that the youth died due to the Covid vaccine.

The deceased was identified as Hemant Patel (30), a resident of Nilgiri circle area in Surat who worked in an embroidery unit. According to the family members, he had taken a Covid vaccine shot two days ago and took ill immediately afterwards.

The family claimed Hemant at first started experiencing pain in his hand which the doctor who was consulted said could be due to vaccination. A day later on Thursday,



the youth experienced vomiting and loose motions, followed by severe pain in the abdomen.

He was admitted to New Civil Hospital where he died while receiving primary treatment. The cause of the death is still not known.

THe deceased's brother Mahendra said, "Hemant did not have any health issues like diabetes or blood pressure. The death is somewhat related to Covid vaccine."

When contacted, Surat deputy health commissioner Dr Ashish Naik, "Till now, 29 lakh people have received the second dose in Surat and nine lakh people have taken the first dose. Not a single person has experienced any side-effects." The post-mortem report is awaited.
