Ramdev aide on fatwa Only 5 of 800 Patanjali products have cow urine

Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamat (TNTJ) earlier said cow urine was being used as a ‘key ingredient’ in cosmetics, medicines and food products of Patanjali that are available in open markets as well as online.TNTJ said the fatwa was being issued to ensure such products were not consumed by Muslims due to a lack of awareness about the ingredients of the products they consume in daily life. Yoga guru Ramdev’s Patanjali said Whichever organisation has issued this fatwa (against Patanjali), I would say it’s their lack of knowledge,” Acharya Balkrishna added. it never concealed information about products that contained cow urine, a day after We make more than 800 products, out of which only five contain cow urine and it is mentioned,” Ramdev’s aide Acharya Balkrishna said.  a Tamil Nadu-based Muslim organisation issued a ‘fatwa’ saying the ingredient was considered ‘haram’ (forbidden) in Islam.
