54 booked for drunken driving in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Fifty-four motorists were found to be driving under the influence of alcohol above permissible limits on Wednesday. The Hyderabad Traffic Police conducted a special drive on drunken driving during the daytime, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and booked drunk driving cases against the violators.

Those booked included drivers of two four-wheelers



and 45 two-wheelers. The drunken drivers will be counselled at the respective traffic police stations, apart from the Traffic Training Institute at Goshamahal and Begumpet.

About 11 drunken drivers sentenced to community service by the court in the recent past, were made to assist the traffic police at Khairatabad junction, in manning traffic
