Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who has been on a multi-city promotional spree for 'Secret Superstar', recently organized a special screening of the film for veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L K Advani in Delhi.
Aamir Khan is rigorously promoting his forthcoming film Secret Superstar starring Dangal girl Zaira Wasim in the lead. The Dhoom actor, who recently returned from Turkey, hosted a special screening of Secret Superstar for senior BJP leader LK Advani and his daughter in Delhi.
Advani graced the event with his daughter and her friends, where he was warmly greeted by the actor.
Secret Superstar deeply moved Advani that he was seen discussing the film with Zaira Wasim, who plays Insu. The report further states that the film also received a standing ovation at the special
screening.
Much like Taare Zamin Par, Aamir Khan is playing a mentor in Secret Superstar, who helps Zaira Wasim navigate her way through life and its problems. He plays a music composer named Shakti Kumar.
Secret Superstar tells the story of Insu, a teenager who aspires to be a singer. However, the biggest obstacle in her life is her father, who is against her dream. A burqa-clad, face-veiled Insu turns to YouTube in a desperate bid to make the entire world listen to her voice.
Produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao under the banner Aamir Khan Productions, Zee Studios, and Akash Chawla, 'Secret Superstar' is written and directed by Advait Chandan. Secret Superstar is set for a release this Diwali. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is simultaneously shooting for his much-awaited action adventure film Thugs of Hindostan.
