Hyderabad, October 20, 2014 (Etemaad News)   Due to  strong show in the Maharashtra Assembly election,  All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has decided to expand its base and enter the political arena  in Karnataka, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. The MIM has fielded 24 candidates in Maharashtra and won two seats.  The party has secured second position in three seats and stood third in nine seats.   The MIM won two seats, its first outside



Hyderabad, in the Maharashtra polls. Mr Yusuf Pathan, a lawyer, won from Byculla in Mumbai and former television journalist Imtiyaz Malik won from Aurangabad Central. The AIMIM was founded in 1927 and the party was revived by Abdul Wahed Owaisi, father of Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi in 1958. Mr.Asaddudin Owaisi has given assurance to the people of Maharashtra to put their problems by representation. He offering the thanks to the people of Maharashtra for supporting party candidates.
