Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Police have registered cases against Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and senior officials in various police stations, based on complaints lodged by Ministers, MLAs and other TDP leaders that alleged their phones were tapped.
Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao lodged a complaint with the Bhavanipuram police, alleging that the TRS government tapped his phone. Cases were registered in other police
stations in Krishna District and in the Vijayawada Police Commissionerate limits.
Bhavanipuram in-charge Circle Inspector J. Murali Krishna said that a case under Section 26 (B) of Indian Telegraph Act has been registered against Telangana State Chief Minister TRS party and the officials.
In West Godavari, police registered cases in Narsapuram, Jangareddygudem and Kovvur Sub-Divisions, according to Superintendent of Police Bhaskar Bhushan.
