Chief Election Commissioner Om Prakash Rawat along with Election Commissioners Sunil Arora and Ashok Lavasa will be on a three-day visit to Karnataka from today. The Election Commission will hold meetings at the different level for three days on Assembly Election in the state. 

It will hold meetings with the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Chief Electoral Officer of the state and other officers to review election preparedness.On April 6th, the Commission is scheduled to hold meetings with the



leaders of various political parties and brief the media.

Meanwhile, The model code of conduct enforcement has been strengthened in the state with the Income Tax department in Karnataka and Goa region setting up around the clock control room. 

The department has requested people to contact toll-free number 1800 425 52115 and mobile number 8277413614 for conveying reliable information on unaccounted funds being used to subvert the mandate.
