Hyderabad: Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao will inaugurate Harita Haram program at 3 p.m. today at Chilukooru, RR District. The program aims at planting 230 crore plants during the next three year. This year 40 crore plants will be planted during July to September. 130 crore plants would be planted outside forest areas whereas 10 crore in HMDA area and 120 crore plants in the rest of the State.
The main objective of this
program is to increase forest area from 24% to 33%. It aims at making Telangana green which will be the largest green area after China and Brazil, Mr. KCR will offer Puja in Balaji Temple of Chilukooru before inaugurating Harita Hara program. He will plant plants in social welfare hostel in Chilukooru and later in Medipally, Narapally. On 4th July he will plant plants in Shamirpet, Tummakunta, Turkapally and Siddipet.
