Colombo: Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral R Hari Kumar called on Sri Lanka Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena yesterday. The meeting centred around the importance of strong defence ties between the two countries. Further strengthening of existing linkages between Armed Forces of the two countries was also discussed during the



meeting.

The Indian Navy Chief will proceed to Kandy today where he will pay obeisance at the Temple of the sacred tooth relic. Thereafter he will proceed to Trincomalee to attend the  Commissioning Parade at the Naval and Maritime Academy.
