The Comptroller and Auditor General  of India, Mr. Girish Chandra Murmu, visited the Court of Accounts (Tribunal de Cuentas) of Spain, to bolster bilateral cooperation, knowledge sharing and capacity building between the two audit institutions. Discussions between Mr. Murmu and Ms. Enriqueta Chicano, President of the Court of Accounts, centered around audit methodologies, institutional independence, and recent initiatives undertaken by



both institutions. 

Both parties also expressed mutual interest in formalizing their bilateral coooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future. Mr. Murmu also met with Mr. Pablo Arellano Pardo, the Comptroller General of the State Administration (IGAE), Spain, to deliberate on common challenges and opportunities.
