External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar yesterday co-chaired the 10th India - South Korea Joint Commission Meeting in Seoul with his Korean counterpart Cho Tae-yul. Dr Jaishankar termed the meeting as comprehensive and productive. He said, the creations covered the expanded bilateral ties, cooperation in the field of defence, science and technology, business and trade, people to people exchange and cultural cooperation. Dr Jaishankar also spoke of advancing trilateral cooperation.
Both Ministers also
exchanged views on the developments in the Indo-Pacific, the convergences to challenges in the region and regional and global issues of mutual interest.
The External Affairs Minister yesterday met Gimhae City Mayor Hong Tae-yong. He said, the Gimhae- Ayodhya connect is a testament to the shared cultural heritage and longstanding people-to-people relations. They also discussed greater cultural and educational cooperation with Gimhae City.
