Colombo: External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar arrived in Colombo on Tuesday evening on a 3-day visit to Sri Lanka. 

Dr Jaishankar will attend the 23rd Council of Ministers’ meeting of the Indian Ocean Rim Association on Wednesday. External Affairs Ministry said, at this meeting, India will assume the Vice-Chair role



of the Indian Ocean Rim Association for 2023-25, leading to Chairship in 2025-27. 

The Council of Ministers will review the Indian Ocean Rim Association’s recent activities and outline future cooperation. Dr. Jaishankar will also have bilateral meetings in Colombo.
