EAM Jaishankar Emphasizes Strengthening India-Middle East Ties at Raisina Dialogue in Abu Dhabi

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar emphasised the growing importance of India-Middle East relations during the inaugural Raisina Dialogue in Abu Dhabi. Highlighting a decade-long surge in trade, connectivity, and cultural ties, he called the partnership crucial in today’s shifting global landscape. 

Dr. Jaishankar recalled Prime Minister Modi’s vision that birthed the Raisina Dialogue, elevating India’s role in global discussions. He praised its West Asia expansion, reflecting India’s historical and deepening ties with the Gulf, where annual trade has



reached from 160 billion dollars to 180 billion dollars, and over 9 million Indians reside. He outlined global trends, including US-China competition and the digital economy’s rise, advocating resilient partnerships.

Jaishankar underscored connectivity through initiatives like the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor and stressed collaboration in areas like food security, renewable energy, and technology. Balancing tradition and innovation, he called for cooperation to address shared challenges in the evolving global order.
